It works!! Put the gearbox in Sunday, reinstalled the exhaust, installed the rebuilt Weber, primed that sucker and off I went. Shifts like a hot knife thru butter. Real nice now that it's all cleaned up and all the linkage lubricated, etc. OD works fine also. While the gearbox was out I replaced the fuel line (had to be 32 years old). It was brittle! Lucky I'm alive. As Mike said, the weather out here in California is nice right now (of course a lot nicer 200 miles south where he is). So I'm ready to ride............oh what a feelin' !!
