Hi 
I found out about this group by Don Lattimer who has been super 
helpful so far. I am working on a guide/ID book about sports cars and 
am including a section on the identification of English Ford engines.
I have good data on the Anglia, Cortina and Kent series and now want 
to include the V-6. I would like to hear from V-6 owners about the 
casting number found on the side of the engine (it could say 722F, 
702F or ??) I would also like to know: Is the deeper portion of the 
oil sump to the front or to the rear? If you have additional stampings
ahead of (or behind) the heads on the top of the block. If you can 
report these numbers. Finally, if you have decoded any V-6 info and 
would like to share it with me that would be great.
