Svelte, Chech the exclusions on the Hagerty insurance, most of the special interest insurance states the car is to be used only going back/forth to shows, pleasure driving and other non-daily use. They exclude commuting, and have other exclusions as well. I insure my car (1984 Marcos) as an additional car on my Farmers insurance. They initially said they couldn't do it but I found out that in Minnesota by law, the Insurance company has to insure it if you do all your other insurance with them. That is probably the best way to go if you plan on using your car as a daily driver. I drive my car 3-4 times a week to work, autocross it and go to local shows, and it's fully covered(auotcross is covered as a driver educational school). Even with a short commute I've still put on 3,000 miles plus per year since I got it two years ago. I do suggest as others have that you do have a "beater" to run for when the occasionial problem pops up. Good luck on your Marcos adventure, Paul
