Would a letter from Marcos (the current version of the factory) signed off by Chris Marsh (or Jem), stating the nature of this vehicle to be a road car with no racing history, be helpful? I just received a registered letter from my insurance broker, stating that their underwriter has determined that "the 1970 Marcos is actually a British racing car and they are unable to renew the policy." Wow! And these guys have been insuring my 'racing car' for the last 7 years. I don't know whether they have my car confused with the Mantis XP, or with the 1990's Mantis. Anyhow, this should make for some entertaining correspondence this winter, as I try to explain things to them. However, it's an insurance company, so my chances of prevailing are probably between zip and nil. Canadian Marcos owners: please let me know who you're insured with (broker / insurance company), as I may be looking for a new insurer. Thanks. Regards . . .
