Svelte Bat . . .
I am concerned - it seems that you are trying to take a logical, rational approach to Marcos ownership. Based on my 32 years owning a Marcos, I would suggest that this approach will lead to disappointment and frustration. If you acquire a Marcos, it should be because you want a car with head-turning styling that draws a crowd every time you take it out, that is an absolute blast to drive when everything is working right, and is an ongoing challenge to your technical skills (and/or your wallet) to keep it that way. You buy a Marcos because of the huge, ear-to-ear grin you get every time you encounter a twisting back road with no traffic for miles - as an early poster on this board said: "if your engine overheats, it's because you're driving too slow".
I do recommend that you use the logical, rational approach to choosing your other car - the one you will need for mundane everyday trips to the shopping mall on rainy days.

Dear All,

I do realize that we have until the 30th of October to participate in
this poll but please do not procrastinate if you own a 1969 to 1973
Marcos GT.

I would appreciate your participation very much. Currently, I am
seriously considering the purchase of a RHD Marcos GT in England for
import to the USA and I would like to have all of the feedback that
any and all 1969 to 1973 Marcos GT owners can provide.

Negative as well as positive feedbacks are welcome.

I want to know what to expect. Here are some examples of negative
feed backs:

1. Too expensive to keep up.

2. A "Hot" car to drive [if you don't have air-conditioning or live
in a temperate invironment].

3. It's too old to own without expecting to pay a lot of upkeep.

Your input is needed and will be appreciated very much.

Most sincerely,

Svelte Bat
