I think Halfords has the sending units (or at least
it looks like the correct unit based on the photograph). I got a free
gasket for my sending unit from the firm that advertises in their catalog as
doing repairs etc. on Smiths instruments after writing them a
email.

Anyone know the source of the fuel tank sender on a V6 3 litre?
The float on mine in holed and it also needs a new gasket as fuel
leaks around the joint.
I've soldered the hole shut a number of times over recent years, but
I think it's time to bite the bullet and get a new one :^)
