Hi all, At the 14th Annual Chico British Car meet last weekend, my Marcos again took 1st place in "British Specialty". About two hundred cars at the event and my competition included an Alvis, a Cougar (?) (British kit car), etc. Also got an invite to participate in the local "Concours" in the fall. I installed my new height and damping adjustable AVO shocks on the front before I left on the trip. 500 miles later I am quite happy with their performance. When I install the rears I'm sure the ride will still be smoother. When I removed the old shocks and springs, the left hand side spring was 1/4" longer than the right. I have RHD. I used the old springs and swapped sides when I reinstalled them. I didn't really want to replace the springs with new ones because the old ones are chrome along with the rest of the front suspension. Ride height did not change as I set the adjustable "plate" exactly as the old Spax shocks were. That still leaves me with 2 1/2-3" ground clearance. With the new front shocks set at "8" (20 position adjustment) the ride was fine with no bottoming. Very nice!! At least I now have the capability of raising the height if I desire. The AVO shocks just bolted right in place. They have a listing for the Marcos. www.avouk.com About $90 USD each with 3 day shipping at $90 USD. Don Lattimer #3m5759 V6 RHD Willits, CA
