Re: Travels to CA

2001-09-02 by Mike Denman

Hi Bob,
It is a shame that you aren't here the weekend of Oct. 21. We are
trying to get all the local Marcos owners to show up for the
British Car Show at San Juan Bautista. We will have at least two
Marcos cars and possibly as many as 5. Oh well, how long can you stay
after your conference? I would love to see you in the S.F. Bay area.
If you drove up I suppose that we could hop in the Marcos and drive up
to see Don Lattimer if he is going to be home. It's another 2 -3
hours from where I live... that's a lot of being in a car for you.
Mark Petrinovich and Steve Frey both have Marcos cars and live closer.
If they were both agreeable we could see both of them in one day. One
or both might be able to join us to go see Don or some variation of
that. The problem with that plan is that it is mid week and they
probably have to work. Since you have the British Ford we could hop in
the Marcos and drive up to Dave Bean the Lotus/British Ford expert. One
of his employees, Diane owns a Marcos that I haven't seen yet. My
house is presently in the "Wedding" mode with my daughter getting
married on Oct.6, so I'm afraid that I can't offer lodging.Let me
know if something "catches your fancy"
