Michael, The Marcos Owners Club has a standing policy that they will not provide any lists of members' names and addresses. They would probably let us know how many current members are from the US and Canada, and they would probably publish an ad asking North American members contact Marcos Maniacs. Dave McCubbin is correct regarding the number of cars originally sent to the US and Canada but there are others not on the original list, mine included. At one time I knew of 8 other coupes in the Toronto area alone but I've lost touch with a lot of them. One, Owned by Duncan Day, moved out to British Columbia and another owned by Ted McGregor moved to Alberta, but I understand he's now living in Ottawa. One has been sitting for quite a few years now with a crushed roof following a garage roof collapse. There's one in Sudbury, Ontario, which is a few hours away. There is one in Oakville (not including Dave's gullwing and Ron's Mantis) and one in Markham, both quite close to Toronto. These two owners are friends who do a lot of racing, though I don't think they're racing the Marcoses, and they prefer to go racing on the weekend rather than attend local car shows. There was a green one in Kitchener, about 1 1/2 hours away, but it was offered for sale a few years ago and I haven't a clue what happened to it. And finally there was a bastardised grey 3 litre Volvo in Toronto with a very low ratio rear diff and Lotus shocks. The owner was a bit of a cowboy (with apologies to any real cowboys among you) and not an enthusiast like the rest of us, and he seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. So, including Dave, Ron and me, there are/were 11 in this area that I know of but only the three of us are known to the rest of you. I had heard about ten years ago that quite a number had made it to the US and Canada but no one had an idea of how many. My car was shipped over by the original owner from Africa so it certainly would have never been on anyone's list. I am sure there are many others as well. The Marco Owners Club did keep lists of its members but were very reluctant to just give out a complete list. I was a member for many years and only dropped my subsciption after three unsuccessful attempts to send cashiers checks for the yearly dues. Maybe we can try contacting the MOC publisher and see if the archives are still available to try and compile a more comprehensive list of the North American owners. I do have an old list with around 21 owners from about 10 years ago but it does not have the chassis numbers so it would be difficult to cross reference it with todays owners.
