Guess it's sending "active sensing" A message, send every 300 mSeconds to see if the MIDI link still stands. This way a synth can stop playing if the cable gets unplugged. On stage this is cool, since you don't want a "hanging" note if you are playing live. I'll get into it as soon as I have time. Pretty sure however it's nothing to worry about :-) I used to do alot of MIDI research. Also System Exclusive. Wrote software back in 1989 for it. Pretty neat looking editor and bankmanager for JX-8P and a universal Dump proggy. At that time I could read and understand ALL MIDI commands :-) Took me alot of time (1.5 year on the JX-8P and 3 months on the Dump- proggy). Since than did lots of other things on the musicfront. (Became specialist in musicshop, later started my own shop, became Importperson for several analogue brands.) Still write mixermaps at the time ;-) Last I did was a MKS-80. Cheers, John.
