Double toner transfer - how would this work out?

Double toner transfer - how would this work out?

2005-07-18 by lcdpublishing

After some research on PCB milling, I am re-thinking the process of
etching again - seems more logical to a certain degree.

Has anyone tried this with success..

As has been done - print layout, transfer, etch, remove toner with
acetone.

THEN

Print out the legends (silk screen layer) and/or solder mask and
perform the transfer again?

This would provide the legends for assembly, but I don't know what
would happen with regard to using the toner as a solder mask. As it
is plastic, it would probably contaminate the solder joint, but I
thought I would ask!

legend works nicely, soldermask never tried.

if you want to make a legend over etched traces, it is sightly more tricky
because of the raised parts etc.
