Re: Tile Saws WAS: PCB Shear

A keyword search on the HF site for "diamond tile blade" turned up many
different blades, 4 inch up through 14 inch.

That's a cute little saw. Looks easier to store later than a large
shear, as well. Many of the blades shown, and the ones included are
continuous rim (no teeth). That sounds like it would be smoother to
work with as well.

I think the tile saw idea warrants a close look. I don't want to mess
with water on my ancient, cast iron Sears saw.

Oddly, they only carry the 4" blades, 3 for $10.00

Thanks for finding those. It did seem odd, but interestingly, the
word 'saw' is not used for these wet blades.

Also interesting is the price ranges. Also a saw we missed. The
wet band saw. This will be hard pressed to cut a straight line,
but if one has really odd shaped boards, that would be a possible
alternative.

I have been using a tile saw I bought at Lowes for cutting boards. It
has worked quite well for me. You get a little bit of a burr from the
copper but it is easily filed away. Also since it cuts wet, no dust.
