discoloring copper

2004-05-23 by Dave Mucha

Hi all, I dried some boards in my toaster over and forgot that they
were in there. the copper turned a dark color, some a dark blue.

I was wondering if this would actually help toner to adhere to the
board ?

well, they DO apply some oxyde coating to the "glue side".

But as said before, you should not experience adhereing problems if you
clean the boards properly and have a suitable toner/pressure/heat
combination.

For me the main limitation of toner transfer is the resolution of my old
printer,
and the really annoying prolems with broader traces / big areas.

tomorrow i will go and fetch this inkjet printer.
i will tell you about any results.
