As I'm struggling with amps, I've decided to build another version of the G6ALU 20 W version (this one will be running withK7FO's Hermes Lite)
The former build, presently running on my star, used the "Best Efficiency" mods. I wish to use now the "Best bandwith" version
I just have one question : how do you "cut" the ferrite binocular of your final transformer (the 1/2 FB43-3312) ?
So far, I've been able to cut a ferrite bar using a dremel and a corindon cutting disk to create a thermal cleavage, but I doubt I can reach such a clean cut with a binocular this size.
What is your "secret weapon" ?
