Using a Lexmark E360 vs a E260 for DLP

Using a Lexmark E360 vs a E260 for DLP

Is there anyone in the group that has experience doing Mark Lerman's mod on a Lexmark E360dn printer?....

The only difference I can find is a 2 row LCD display on the front panel...

If so, did you have to do anything different? Was the MCU software changed in anyway... was the quality of the print equal to the E260?

The E260 are getting scarce and there are a few E360's in town...

Thanks all

Tom

Here's how an E360 was converted for DLP. Unfortunately it's in French, but you should be able to translate it.

If you run down the list of comments in my Instructable < http://www.instructables.com/id/Modification-of-the-Lexmark-E260-for-Direct-Laser--1/ > you will see where the author of the French article made a few comments (in English) and offered to help anyone needing translation help. Best I can do for you.

Google Translate works perfectly for this.

Goggle Translate works fine.... It seems the hole position on the carrier and a software tweak which Tryphon Libidouille wrote is all that is different.....

I will give it a try... Thanks Mark and Tryphon...

Separate switch is fine, and easier.

Mark do I need to use the "X" button on the front of the printer or can I use a separate button to start the printing process?

Thanks

Tom
