This is a Propane-Butane Product. Both of these are from the same family as Petrol, refined from crude Oil and Natural Gas.
These substances can dissolve/effect some types of Plastics.
IPA or Isoprople Alcohol is safer to use and to my limited ken, does not attack any plastics.
IPA is availble at most electronic outlets including Maplin.
Hope this helps, Chester

Hi Chester.

Thank you for your input and concerns regarding the plastics.

 Sorry for my overdue reply.

The idea, was to give the Lexmark E232 a complete service / clean as it was leaving white streaks where it was not printing, 'second hand'.

I contacted RS themselves, and they confirmed that this is Isopropyl.

I've then removed all the relevant rollers and blades, given them a good clean, emptied the waste bin and reassembled.

 99% better printing now.

 Darren.
