HP Laser Jet 1320 Printer adequate ?

HP Laser Jet 1320 Printer adequate ?

I am looking for an opinion on whether a HP Laser Jet 1320 printer is good enough to make print outs for PCBs on Press-n-peel Blue or magazine paper.

thanks

I've messed with almost every model of laser printer HP
has ever sold and never had a problem with any of them.
You do want to set the printer/driver for maximum resolution
and density. Over the years there have been problems with refilled
toner cartridges, so it's probably worthwhile to keep a
"real HP" toner cartridge for PCB work and use the refills
and third party cartridges for day-to-day printing. Branch out to
the less expensive stuff after you have your process down pat.

At present I'm using an HP1022 with a toner cartridge from
dx.com (IIRC around $30 delivered) with no problems.
The "real HP" it replaced MAY have been a bit better.

I used it when I first started with toner transfer and it worked just fine. I could never figure out how to set the print density with the driver software so I used this program,

I now mostly use a HP1102W and you can configure this setting from its web page. Also, I have noticed no difference in the the quality of the refill toner from here and the genuine HP cartridges,
