Dremel tungsten drill bits

Dremel tungsten drill bits

2012-12-24 by Bob AD5VJ

I like using my 395 Dremel rotary tool for drilling holes using the tungsten bits with the 1/8" shank.

I have it all set up and its stable.

However, I only have the tungsten sizes:

.05 - .062 - .0787 and 3/32 these are not near small enough for pcb work except the .0500 which destroys the smaller pads.

Been all over eBay and can only find - used - refurbished that are close, but they are not very assorted in size and many sets only have a few of the sizes I need smaller than .050

Example: "set of 50 - .0400 resharpened in plastic case"

The size is good but don't need 50 of the same size.

Does anyone know of a good resource for an assortment of the sizes we need for pcb work?

Thanks
Bob AD5VJ

Yes Drill Bit City. They have a 25 piece set with one drill each from #56
to #80 for $22.95. The drills are resharped tungsten carbide.

Where can I obtain a drill bit chart showing all sizes so I can study this drill bit Question I have been following?
www.jameco.com sells a good quality drill press, stand, motor and drills and I am looking at that as a future
part of my workshop. I need assistance in choosing drill sizes for home hobby size pads.

Get dirt cheap resharpend Tungston Carbide bits at...
www.drillbitcity

I alway also find a good selection of TC bits at a local Harbor Freight
- These were end mills used in CNC tooling CNC milled circuit boards...

As far as cutting boards...
No need to resort to rocket science
I use a band saw and a side sander.

Don,

I just received a package from Drill Bit City today. Bought five sizes with 10 drills of each size. They look good. Will try them in the next few days. Easy web site to navigate and promptly shipped.
