DIY Bending Brake

DIY Bending Brake

2003-11-08 by grantfair2001

I uploaded 2 files to the files section, Brake 1.bmp and Brake 2.bmp.

These can be viewed with the MS Paint program.

My brake is about 18" wide. I assume longer ones might work (with
bigger and thicker?) angle iron. Obviously, you have to subtract the
hinge length plus the hold down bolt distance from hinge (x 2) to get
the maximum width the brake will handle.

My drawing skills have not improved since my grade 8 drafting class
which was too long ago to specify <g>.

Let me know if you have questions.

Very clear, I thought. Very simple and easy to build. Thanks!

I converted them to GIF and put them in their own folder.

A request to everyone- if you are uploading bitmapped images, please
save them in PNG, GIF, or JPG. BMP files are huge, TIF almost as
large. If you need assistance reducing colors or figuring out how to
save in those formats, email me off list.

Or just upload and I'll convert them, I don't really mind as long as
it doesn't become a dozen a day. ;')

I was just thinking that the bending brake would also make scoring and
breaking PCBs much easier.
