I have two small pcb designs that I need converted to gerbers Is there anyone that does that. I have the copper tracks and silk in pdf files all firms I have asked to make the pcb,s say they can not do without gerber file so as a model railway fan prefer not to have to learn all about making these files will/would pay for convertion to gerber file trevor

If you already have the layout done, most software will export to a gerber. The only ones that I'm aware of that won't are the ones that are tied to one PCB manufacturer, such as expressPCB, but then you can just get it made with them directly, and there's no need to export to gerber. I would suggest googling for "[whatever layout program you used] export gerber" and I'm sure you'll find some simple instructions. Hi, If I understand you correctly, is it only Pdf files you have? this being the case, I dont think there is any software that can make gerber files from pdf's, send me the images silkscreens and the schematics with dimensions and specifics for any components you will be using, I will see if I can make the gerber files for you. If the PDF files are high enough resolution and accuracy they possibly could be used directly for etching a PCB if scaled as required. In that case the only missing data is to generate the drill file. Bertho
