HP P1103W laser printer info?

HP P1103W laser printer info?

2012-08-26 by John

Things were going to good! Any pointers to any tech info for this little printer? It has decided to keep printing the same page until it runs out of paper. Probably whatever senses cycle complete but it would be more likely to survive my efforts if I could find a little service info...
No more toner pcb's until I either fix or replace...

I'm not an expert but I'd suggest that you try cleaning it out. Get some
compressed air and try to get as much dust out of it as you can. The
problem may be as simple as a dusty paper sensor.

Hi there.

This is my first message to this list. :)
I´d suggest you go to www.filestube.com and enter the model number and
"service manual" as search string.

Good luck!.

I wonder if the 1103W is related to the hp laserjet 1100 series of
printers? (perhaps with the add-on scanner module attached?).

because there is one service manual for the 1100, but I couldn´t find
anything for the "1103w"

Thanks to all with suggestions.

I was thinking along the same lines. I did the obvious and checked it
out on their Support site. It sounds like it is a software mish-mash and
they have a procedure to get things going again. Sorry about the false
alarm! I like the little printer a lot but I am guilty (like most users)
of not reading the documentation before I have a problem!

I even got the model number wrong! It is an HP P1102W. Other than this
little issue, it's performance has been flawless.

This is a good example of why I should always think things overnight
before asking for help. Some issues of real life re going to kepp me out
of the shop a day or so.

Conclusion:

Apparently this is well known glitch. In the the printer properties tab
there is an option to enable bidirectional communications. It needs to
be off.

Thank to all.
