MICR Cartridge?

MICR Cartridge?

2012-02-20 by leeleduc

Has anyone ever used a MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition)toner cartridge? These are used for printing checks. A graphics art student told me that a firm he worked for one summer used these when they needed solid, dense black prints from their laser printer.

Anyone ever hear of this?

Thanks

I had a cart especially made from a guy on ebay and it was made with micr toner well a mix and had a terrible time trying to fuse it and ended up not using it after a few failed attempts and many cleanings. They do print nice on bond but did work very well with my TT paper.
After contacting him he offered to make me another cause he figured out what would be best for what I was doing but just dont want to go paying 85 bucks every time when I good results from a 30 dollar cart.
Terry
