Update on Eagle class in Olympia

Update on Eagle class in Olympia

2012-01-13 by Steve Greenfield

The instructor for the class just informed me that V5.11 is available from:
http://web.cadsoft.de/

And that you don't need to bring a computer to the first class. A handout will be provided.

Eagle 6.1 is available,

but just in case I saved the install package for earlier version 5.11 (some ULPs are only compatable with previous versions, almost need to have them all for complete compatabilty with any uploaded eagle available)

DIPtrace 2.2.09 is available also

I updated both this evening!

The story is that Newark bought Eagle from a German company, and that for a short time the old website will be up.

New update: A cross check has been done, and the instructor says OK to installing 6.1. There is a small enough difference between 6.1 and 5.11. He has a full paid version, the highest one, of 5.11 so he isn't about to upgrade.

More news can be found on the Meetup page, another class is scheduled for this coming Friday Jan 20th.

Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] Real silver ink - can be used in inkjets?

I never looked for a full article as such, although this page had a
little more info:
http://www.thecuttingedgenews.com/index.php?article=53719

Here it is:
http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/ja209267c?journalCode=jacsat
and no, I don't have access to the full article. Anyone have journal
access via a uni or something?

if you googilver acetatele "Journal of the American Chemical Society"
"silver ink" there's a stack of results, many of which have slightly
different info which is unusual. From what I've read it really does
sound as simple as getting some silver acetate and dissolving it in
ammonia. Spray/print it on something, then warm it up to 90 degrees and
you're done.

Silver acetate suppliers...?
http://www.sciencelab.com/page/S/PVAR/SLS1042. Ok it's expensive from
this one.
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/468917767/Silver_Acetate.html US $ 700
- 1,200 / Kilogram, minimum 1 kg....

Yeah it'd be best to read the article before thinking about buying that
much powder.

Please, please do NOT post a new thread by replying to another thread.

Yahoogroups shows it attached to the other thread, even though you've changed the subject line and deleted all the original message.

Hi Steve,
Sorry about that, I had no idea the threads were tracked differently.
Thanks for letting me know, I certainly won't do it again!

Best Regards,
Andrew
