Homebrew PCBs

After reading a few tutorials I spent a day trying to produce a toner transfer PCB. Not much success at all and a lot of frustration.

Then I discovered Homebrew_PCBs! big <grin> now! Found some recommended paper with a part number, but what really did the trick was, after reading and re reading it finally sunk in and I had a thought. I was using an HP Color laser. Now there may be some way to configure it but I don't know. I went to Office Depot and found a Samsung laser printer for fifty bucks! Got it home tried the process again and on my second try had a great transfer. What fun. I blogged some pictures of the board with some Sharpie and Etch resist pen tests too: http://bit.ly/vqGHHl

I'm beginning to believe more and more, that success is almost entirely 
a function of the nature of the toner.
And, unless we actually own the copier and can select the toner, we are 
pretty much at the mercy of
the owner of the copy machine.

I get vastly different results depending on what copy shop I go to for 
my transfer copies.

Any comments on this would be appreciated.
