Been using a metcal for many years it a sweet machine. Just don't melt plastic with the tips or try and file them. I've been using a second-hand Metcal STSS power unit with an MX500 handpiece and cartidges for many years. It cost about about the same as a new Weller soldering station and is infinitely better. Leon -- Leon Heller G1HSM
