Indeed.  That's the station I have, but getting there is not half the

Been using a metcal for many years it a sweet machine. Just don't melt plastic with the tips or try and file them.

Got chewed out big time by one of our assembly gals for melting plastic with here favorite tip, lets say I never did that again.

I've been using a second-hand Metcal STSS power unit with an MX500 
handpiece and cartidges for many years. It cost about about the same as 
a new Weller soldering station and is infinitely better.

I also have a STSS power unit at home and it works just as good as my MX-500 at work. I have had many suppliers show me their systems and have not found any other I like better.

MX-500 at home…sadly no soldering at work.  :-(

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
