The Zoom and quality is nice but as someone else said that wavy effect that happens when you move the board is quite distracting... I guess it would be better suited to things with low motion...

After experimenting some more today I found that the quality is being
significantly reduced by the mirror like finish of the tinned pcb, if I put a
dollar bill or a colored and solder masked pcb under the camera the picture is
astounding on a 19 inch screen

We happened to buy one of these cameras for use with Skype. The very slow frame rate was very evident there as well. The image quality while still is pretty good for $15.

May want to stay away if you're looking for a good webcam.

Tom

If you use supplementary close up lenses, +1, +2 and +3 diopter lenses on your video camera you can get close up videos for less than $5
Using these you can put the camera at full zoom with the supplementary lens but sill get close ups with the camera 6 feet away. This gives you plenty of room to work.

Malcolm

I don't suffer from insanity I enjoy it!
