RS free layout program

RS free layout program

2010-11-07 by christiansen_alex@hotmail.com

hi
As I read the mail about cadstar, I remembered that
RS components have a free program with no limitations
I have not had time to try it, but maybe some others in
this group have tried it..
Have any tried it ?

It's basically Easy-PC from Westdev.
Definitely workable, but a lower end software like Eagle etc.

Still very good value for money ;-)

It's a version of Number One Systems' Easy-PC, which I used for many
years. It's very easy to use, but is a bit limited.

Well, they are not going to say "we are giving you a free software,
it's not fantastic, but hey, it's free".
Neither is Westdev going to put a free tool on the market that is
strong competition to Pulsonix.

Compared with Eagle I would still use DesignSpark, just for the sane
user interface alone.

RS released DesignSpark soon after Farnell bought Cadsoft Eagle, coincidence?

It.s a lot more useful than the free version of Eagle, of course.

LOLOLOL!

Heh, heh! Just ONE little letter! :-D That's all it takes!

"CLOWN SUITS!" EXCELLENT! (Don't mention this to synthesizer repair guru,
Kevin Lightner - He HATES clowns!)

Clowns! BOOGA, BOOGA, BOOGA, BOOOOOGA!, said the evil clown.

Appreciatively,
Dave Garfield - stickler for proper spelling and grammar...

PS - You guys crack me up -- sometimes. THANKS! :-))

Have you tried Design Spark>> http://www.designspark.com/pc
DipTrace>> http://www.diptrace.com/

Or ,my favorite Kicad>> http://www.lis.inpg.fr/realise_au_lis/kicad

Dip Trace works fine under wine for linux, Design Spark not so much.
