PCB Tinning Chemicals!!!

2010-07-24 by Christopher

Hi!

Can anyone offer me sources of supply of PCB Tinning Chemicals (Stannic chloride, etc.,) in the UK? The suppliers in the "Now Tinning" thread post to the United States only which is useless to me!!!

Mega Electronics sells them ready-mixed. You just need to add water.

HI Christofer:

I happen to have two full gallons of tin plate concentrate solution. You dilute it, and you take a clened pc board, dip it into the diluted solutions, hold it a few seconds, and you have a beautiful tin coating!

The problem is how tyo ship it. The chemicals that make it up are dangerous. A pick up would have to be arranged. I live in the Cleveland, Ohio area. I don't know where you are located. If we can find a solution to the pick up, we can then start discussing price

May I suggest looking in your local "yellow pages" for chemical
suppliers/laboratory suppliers.

Hi

Have you checked with electronic components distributors. Here I get silbering powder from them. It s easy to apply and does not mess up any chemical around.

Depends on how much you require, you can get the Mega Electronics products as mentioned by Leon from Rapid Electronics -
