Circuito Milling Machine

2003-07-27 by Bard

Hi Friends I live in Brazil and i want to say that I buit a machine capable
to mill circuit tracks. I am sending the photo attached. The characteristic
of the machine are precision of 0.05 mm, 30000 rpm Spindle and 0.01 mm
resolution. I hope to learn a lot more in this group. Im using a 1mm
diameter Milling tool thats the smaller tool that I can find here, anyone
know about a smaller milling tool?.

Best Regards

Bard,

Your photo was discarded by Yahoo. Can you put it in the photos section of Homebrew_PCBs? A detailed description might be nice, too.

Thanks,
- Jan

Brad, as others pointed out the photo got discarded. With regard to
the tool - e-bay is most likey your friend here. There are many offers
for carbide drill bit's and other tools at reasonable prices. Don't
know if that often on e-bay.com, but definately here in europe
(e-bay.de). If all fails, Proxxon offers milling tools to mill pcb's.
So, by visiting their page you should be able to locate a dealer near
you (or online shop) that could deliver.

As I mentioned in another thread, Drill Bit City is a great place
for cutting tools. They have very good prices. Check out this link:
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/drillcity/endmills1.html

They have mills down to .005" (.127 mm) in the wire sizes.
.4 mm in metric.

Move to quarantaine
