Anybody tried using decal paper ?

Anybody tried using decal paper ?

2008-07-07 by shroffja

Hi All,

Ran into this site today http://www.decalpaper.com/category-s/3.htm and
was wondering if these woul survive ferric chloride?

This might help avoid some of the issues with using glossy paper and
not being able to release the paper from all areas of the PCB.

Thanks
Jay

I don't think it's going to work. Mostly because the film will
be "full covering", not only cover where we want to keep the copper,
but as one big square film.
I've had some good results with "high resolution" paper from HP, also
called "coated paper". HP51634z is what the package says.
It doesn't leave any paper sticking where it should not. It really
gave me a new motivation to make PCB's.

Bets regards
Ebbe

Ah,

Did not think about that, they mentioned somewhere that they also
have rub on decals so I thought it might not be a full square film,
but come to think of it that makes sense...

Will look at the coated paper.

Thanks
Jay
