Bubble-etch tanks in Australia?

Bubble-etch tanks in Australia?

2008-03-25 by Matthew Smith

Hi Folks

Can anyone advise of a supplier of bubble etch tanks in Australia? I'm
looking for them at a 'sensible' price ($60 or less with blower and
heater). Soanar Plus has them listed in its catalogue, but I have just
been advised that they have been deleted. Computronics lists them but
says that supplies won't be received until June at least...

Cheers

M

Thanks for those; hadn't come across Kalex before. They're slightly
more expensive than Computronics, but then they've got the goods...

I bought a bubble etch tank, tried it once, then went back to manual
agitation with a plastic container holding the etchant inside a larger
container with some hot water in it.

For small volumes ( < 1L ), you can use microwave oven to directly heat
ferric chloride or persulfate etchants. Just limit it to 20 seconds
between stirring. No need to waste your time with hot water baths.
I have to agree that manual agitation has its benefits.

Have you tried the sponge technique suggested by Pulsar
http://www.pulsarprofx.com/PCB/a_Pages/5_Support/5b_Tips_Tricks/Tips_Tricks.html#Anchor-49575
it works great for me, its fast and u waste less acid.

Take a look.

the only consideration is that u have to seal the toner with the
pulsar green foil or as you can do it, as I have read around, with a
heat gun (never tried it).
