Norm,

Interesting link. I think that apart from direct printing and toner 
transfer, dryfilm fotosensitive resist laminate could be used equally well.

What temperatures does the mentioned material withstand?

It bears mentioning for those who haven't visited the link yet, that
the instructable author uses a Phaser liquid wax printer to print wax
as etch resist directly onto flexible PCB board.

The flexible PCB is made of Kapton. According to DuPont's website:

"They have been used in field applications where the environmental
temperatures were as low as –269°C (–452°F) and as high as 400°C
(752°F). Complete data are not available at these extreme conditions,
and the majority of technical data presented in this section falls in
the 23 to 200°C (73 to 392°F) range."

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
