Hi Guja, Let me say that LJet stuff wasn't technically possible when it appeared (mid 90's) I used to register double sided for offset duplication and I couldn't get it. Trouble is the mechanism of the LJIV, as they weren't prepared to 'register' precisely on both sides. That could be work for the models being 'double-side enabled' then corporate office printers of the mid 90's. You'll ned to do some manual guide positioning system for proper alignment. Hope that helps. Re: Laserjet 4 plus Problem !!! Posted by: "guja" guja2001bg@... guja2001bg Mon Mar 26, 2007 2:03 pm (PST) print them both at same time. If working properly they will register correctly as long as you have the thing to print exactly centered in the page. Also there is a duplexer you can find cheap for the LJ 4 and 4 Plus, sits under the printer and you remove the back cover where a cover for the duplexer replaces the back. The duplexer is L shaped. You can also set an optional 500 sheet tray under that. The LJ 4 and 4 Plus also has an envelope feeder option. All can be found cheap enough. To upgrade memory dig out that old 72 pim ram from those old 486 era machines. The fuser on the 4 and 4 Plus are different and non-interchangeable. The rollers and many other parts are the same including plastics. Both can use an inexpensive MIO type print server/network card. I do this for a living and signs are an additional business added in the last year although I have lots of experience in it since the 70's including silk screening. Also if anyone ever needs a fuser rebuilt reasonably or their printer repaired (UPS shippable no bigger) I can repair most brands and models, inkjet, thermal, impact laser/LED and dye sublimation - assuming I can get parts, if needed.

Did a small workaround to solved it !!! i printed first layer then rotate drawing 180- degree then print the second layer(mirror)!!!, Why ?? it prints the 2 layers the same way so they gets the same offset in the middle , aligning properly for transfer !!! --- In Homebrew_PCBs@yahoogroups.com, "Russ Blakeman" <rhb57@...> wrote: > > If working properly they will register correctly as long as you have the > thing to print exactly centered in the page. It is much easier (and more accurate) to print both layers (placed vertically, top layer mirrored) in a single pass. Offset may vary. --------------------------------- Now that's room service! I'm not real fond of it making clones of my messages either then sending me undeliverable messages. Seems to have stopped though.

Yeah...not hard to see why some folks just walk away from technology saying that is a fancy way of wasting time...and nervous energy. Regards, Ross Russ Blakeman wrote:

There's a message on the Yahoo Groups Team blog about the message problem--including an apology: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/y_groups_team Apparently the Yahoo servers were accepting incoming emails, but not acknowledging receipt, so the sending server's mail program would wait, then try to send it again since as far as it was concerned the message had not been successfully sent. So far as I can tell, the problem is over (for the time being, at least.) -Mark

Thanks for that Mark. Like many others I suspect, I only receive Yahoo group postings via email and therefore did not get the apology or explanation until yours just now. Regards, Ross McKenzie ValuSoft Melbourne Australia Mark Graybill wrote:

Yahoo has done this in all the groups I know of this last week, but you dont see it if you get your mail via google, I read it online, helps keep the nasty viruses out unlike pop 3 servers etc. (and I can read it at work, as they dont allow you to set up pop3) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I do agree Guja ,but i can't find how to print both on the same page with Altium !!!! --- In Homebrew_PCBs@yahoogroups.com, guja <guja2001bg@...> wrote: > > It is much easier (and more accurate) to print both layers (placed vertically, top layer mirrored) in a single pass. "Offset" may vary.

It is very easy. You have to create postscript files of selected layers (print-to-file). Than you can import them into CorelDraw, where you can align, flip, center, anything you need. I am not familiar with new programs, (mine is 20y old) but there must be option like Print-to-file or PS-printer. :) Bruno St-Laurent <bsl88k@...> wrote: I do agree Guja ,but i can't find how to print both on the same page with Altium !!!! --------------------------------- Looking for earth-friendly autos?
