While watching "Mythbiusters" on TV yesterday, I saw an ad for a
Sears "Compucarve machine" for $1899. This may be the first mainstream
commercial unit for hobbyists.

Interesting indeed. The specs don't say anything about resolution or
accuracy. But it does have a 1 HP motor. Think that can handle PCB
milling? :-)
