anyone know a page where i can upload large images?
Something like 1.4Mb jpg.

I'd have the images from the tests with different settings and stuff...

Something like tinypic.com, only for large images (i tried resizing but
you'd really want the details).

Already tried photobucket but it seems that will only show a downsized
version as well.

I'd prefer such a free upload service over putting it on my webspace, if
there's one that works...

BTW the 6/6 and 8/8 rules test pcb work properly. Only problem i have now
is the ink does not hold up to etchant (CuCl) as well as toner. The last
board i cured with 300C hot air, and it turned out 90% ok, but on one edge
the traces were still attacked (pink).
I hope i can sort this out, ferric chloride is a lot less agressive to
resist...

thanks

Stephen,

Have you tried resizing with Photoshop?

If not send it to me and I'll gve it a try. i've had some luck bringing down
the size on my photos.

I have tried resizing - as i already wrote - but i really do not want to
lose detail. I could crop some margins, but it's still quite large.

Maybe it's too acidic? I tried the HCl + H2O2 mixture once, and made
it too strong, it ate right through the toner and the permanent marker
I had used to touch it up.

Thanks, that will work!
I think i actually downloaded stuff from there in the past but didn't know
it was easy to upload.
There is some nagging of the downloader though and some sort of limit, so
i'll put them all in a zip to minimize the bother.

the zip of the paper setting trials (about 5mb) is:
<http://rapidshare.de/files/26888154/inkjet001.zip.html>

i'll make photos of my flatbed printer and the etching results tomorrow.
I'll let you know despite the frightening danger of being accused i post
when i wipe my arse by people that at the same time complain about not
enough detail ;-)

if someone knows a even better image upload site please let me know,
ideally i'd find something quite like tinypic.com where i can upload
something and get a URL with no nagging of the uploader or the downloader.
But this will work - a lot less hassle than using the group space or my
webspace...

Yes, you are right, if the HCl molarity is high it is much more agressive,
especially to markers (which are ink as well!).
But i do not think it is - i have not added HCl for quite a while and i
expect it to be at the low end. I will measure the molarity tomorrow -
haven't done that for ages...

Anyone know what the lowest practical HCl molarity is one can run CuCl at?
