Ferric Chloride - while in powder form took on moisture?

Ferric Chloride - while in powder form took on moisture?

2006-07-16 by lcdpublishing

Hi guys,

I have some Ferric Chloride I did not store properly. I thought it was
in an airtight container, but obviously not as the powder has changed
colors in areas. I am assuming this is because the powder took on
some moisture.

I believe it will still be okay to use, but before I mix up the batch,
I figure I would ask first if there are any problems using it?

Thanks

Chris

I don't think ferric chloride deteriorates even when fully mixed "just
sitting there".

almost CERTAINLY not! Some salts DO attract moisture from the atmosphere.
This is called "delequescense"
