How long does anhydrous FeCl3 stay anhydrous

How long does anhydrous FeCl3 stay anhydrous

2006-04-11 by Kamal Shankar

Guys, can you give me a rough idea about how long the
Ferric Chloride powder remains powder before turning
to thick liquid ?

I am used to purchasing FeCl3 in form of a deep brown
syrup, but am considering getting something dry from
now on.

Oh - and how would you recommend Ammonium Persulphate
from the storage point of view ?

Back then when i bought FeCl it came in vacuum packed PE bags with just
enough in each for making up one bottle.
As far as i can tell the unopened bags are still dry after many years. A
good sealing glass bottle should keep it dry indefinitely i think.
