I've heard of someone using something like that which he got his much
cheaper in a charity shop. I built my own with a box made from MDF and some
wood, a sheet of glass and a couple of UV tubes. Cost me about £20.

Where did you get the tubes etc, if i build mw own what type of tube
am i looking for and power?

Any tips you can give would be very useful!

Companies like Farnell and RS have them in the UK. I am using Sylvania
Blacklight 350 8W tubes I bought from a company called Service Trading in
West London.
