faking through-hole plating

I have an idea for "faking" through-hole plating that I'd like you to consider and critique. Feed a strand or two of bare copper wire through a hole. Solder both ends, but make sure no solder flows into the hole. Now when you insert a part and solder from the bottom side, the strands of copper in the hole should soak up the molten solder and give a solid connection from top to bottom. -- David Griffith dgriffi@...
