Homebrew PCBs

Hi, I am a newbie, and this is first post.  Have enjoyed reading all
the ideas, and when I came to the one on Reynolds Parchment paper, I
thought it would be worth trying.  However, the local supermarket did
not stock the Reynolds Parchment paper, but did have one of it's own
store brand.  I thought I would try it, even though it was not labeled
"silicone".  I also found a new Reynolds Aluminum Foil, labeled
"Non-Stick" that did have a silicone coating, so bought a roll of it.

First tests indicate that both work very well, but the aluminum foil
was especially interesting, since it transferred more quickly and more
completely than the parchment paper, perhaps due to the better heat
conduction of the aluminum.  To run the foil through the laser printer
[HP LaserJet 5L] I taped it to another piece of paper.  Some care is
required to keep the foil from wrinkling, of course.

Since the aluminum is not transparent, it may be hard to get proper
alignment, but it seems to me that this could be done with a few
alignment holes punched in the aluminum to match marks on the pcb.

I wonder if this could also be used to transfer markings to the
painted front panel of a project?  "Further experimentation is
required."
