Homebrew PCBs

Toay's local paper carries a full page advert for Officeworks, advertising 
the Ibico Pouchmaster 9 A4 Laminator for $149, a $100 discount.  If I recall 
my research of lte last year correctly, that is the equivalent to the CBC 
H200 on the Australian market, 2 hot rollers, 3 temperature settings. Sale 
ends on 30 June.  I will have to take a look at that one in the flesh before 
deciding on the $69.95 Post Office offering.

On the motor speed question i would be tempted to first try electronic 
control and resort to gear changing only if that failed to get an adequate 
speed reduction.

The motor is ac, there is probably a chance you could change the gear
on the motor but not mount the motor back in it's original location to
allow for larger or smaller gears. Maybe leave the motor gear there as
an idler and fit a new one to the motor of appropriate size.
