Opinions wanted on the NEMA-23 stepper motors for sale on Xylotex please: http://www.xylotex.com/StepperMotor.htm Double Stack/Double Shaft Bipolar Stepper Motor Holding Torque 269 oz.in Rated Current 2.8A/phase Phase Resistance 1.13 Ohms Phase Inductance 3.6mH Step Angle 1.8 degree (200 spr) Motor Body Length 3 inches Shaft width .25 inch Front Shaft length .75 inch Back Shaft length .62 inch Wire lead length ~12 inches Brand New, these are not surplus or RFE $50.00 ea. I've checked my steppers and there is some 'stickion'. The clicks also don't all appear to offer the same resistance, some feel soft and others offer more resistance. I prefer to start with a quality motor and not have to worry about it being the cause of problems. Local shops either have the same crap I have on hand (which is where I got them in the first place), or are outrageously priced and don't have 3 of the same model on hand (ain't no way I'm mixing up the motors, I want 3 identical ones) Robert :) Be sure to visit the group home and check for new Bookmarks and files: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Homebrew_PCBs Yahoo!
