Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] effect of etchants on stainless steel?

2005-02-13 by Brian Clancy

G'day Anthony & Leon

Saw on eBay where a chap was selling magnetically coupled stainless steel
centrifigal pumps. He said he was using one to pump Ammonium Persulphate.
FeCl is corrosive to just about anything. I suspect it will even etch glass
a little.

Cheers
Brian

Not sure about ammonium persulphate, but ferric chloride definitely corrodes

stainless steel.
