With the snap grid on I click twice in the center of the pad. It is
recorded as a location. During milling you get a starting diviot. The
diviot is tiny. Smaller than your drill bits.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
