Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] Did you see the epson press release? Inkjet PCB!

2004-11-02 by Earl T. Hackett, Jr.

Somebody finally did it. It sure took long enough. I suggested this approach over 15 years ago when I was in the duPont electronics department. Of course I couldn't get mamagement to look beyond their current product line. I'd like to think that our ink jet guys make the inks, but probably not.

  http://www.epson.co.jp/e/newsroom/news_2004_11_01.htm

This prints conductors and insulating layers in subsequent passes.

Time will tell if this is viable and also can trickle down into a
hobbyists's realm. The specs are neat.

50 micron line width, 110 micron line pitch, at 25.4 microns per
mil, that is 2 mil width on 4.4 mil pitch. Do that with your Staples
  paper!
