I thought it was "You've got questions, we've got blank looks."

I used to go into Radio Shack and ask them crazy questions like "Where
are the cold neutron injector needles?" or "Do you guys carry
left-handed femtore cores?" or whatever were the latest buzz-words
from the last episode of Star Trek.

It lost all it's fun when I realized that it was like shooting fish in
a barrel.

Interesting observations: 

Male "associates" would look blank for a beat, then nod knowingly and
directly me authoritatively to the small parts section and say "right
here" and hustle off as if they had been in the middle of something. A
couple of them just said No without finding out what I was talking
about. Only one admitted he didn't know what I was talking about.

Female "associates" would say right off the bat that they didn't know
what that was, and pull the catalog out and offer to help me look it
up. All of them. Yep, every last female I pulled this on at Radio
Shack was not afraid to say "I don't know".

BTW, can you guys try to trim if you are only going to post one line
in reply? Not everyone here is on high-speed, and those outside the
USA may have to pay for every second of connect time. We in the US
often forget that not everyone gets local dialing without extra charge.
