JB:  I have an OLD Heathkit ultrasonic cleaner that I assembled  myself, and 
pull it down to do my watch-band about once every year or 18 mo.,  and plain 
tap-water and half a teaspoon of liquid detergent of ANY kind works  fine!  No 
"silicon" nor photosensitive stuff involved; just metal  stuff.
