Hi Steve, Thanks - I did have it wired up wrong - In case anyone else is interested the HP site at http:/h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=bpp013 79 has the info for both serial and p25 pin cables plus test programs.
