I have to use the copy >com1 comand in a dos prompt to send my files to the plotter, XP ha no hpgl driver, nor does HP make one. There is a decent driver available, for close to $400 but it seems to do is do a copy to com1 command behind the scenes. I have used eagles HPGL it seems to work just fine (it's in the cam processor section), but more often than not, I tidy things up in Corel before creating the file.
