Although I'm not interested in this technology, I'd thought I'd drop a teaser Minwax polycrylic is a water soluble polymer, It's thin-able with water, and dries to a chemically resistant and VERY hard surface. The only possible problems I see with it as an etch resist, are 1: it may not adhere to copper, and two if it does, you might not ever get it off.
